Print Excel Spread Sheet On One Page

Excel is great application for managing numeric as well as other information.  It can add columns, create series and a host of other functions.  But there is one thing by default that leaves something to be desired.  Printing!  I have been asked many times if there is a way to get an Excel spread sheet to fit on to one page when printing.  Well the answer is a yes, and it’s easy to do.  Be warned thought, while you do have the ability to fit a spread sheet on to one page this will reduce the font size and may make you  spread sheet hard to read.

Setup Excel To Print On One Page

1.  Click File > Page Setup

Excel Page Setup

 2.  On the Page tab select the ‘Fit to’ setting in the scaling area.  Set both scaling properties to 1.  (1 page wide by 1 page tall)

 Excel Page Fit

Now just click ‘OK’ and your spread sheet will print on one page.  As stated earlier printing a spread sheet on on page will reduce the size of the text.  The is not a global setting in Excel meaning that you will have to adjust this setting for every spread sheet you want printed on one page.

Have you ever wanted to add that extra something to your MS Word Documents.  You know, something to make your  hard work look more professional and well thought out.  Well, adding a water mark to an MS Word doc will do just that, and it’s a snap.

In traditional printing a watermark is A translucent design pressed on paper during manufacturing. But wait that’s not all.  You can also create a text based watermark.  Text based watermarks are great for marking documents as a COPY, CONFIDENTIAL, or DO NOT COPY.   To create a ext based watermark follow the step below.

Steps to add a text watermark to your word document

1. Same as step one above.Text Based Watermark

2. Select ‘Text Watermark’ from the Printed Watermark dialog box and then type in the text that you want to display. You can select the font type, size, color and layout for your text watermark.
